CERTIFICATION STANDARDS

For questions on recertification, please send an email to officialschair@wisconsinswimming.org

Background Check

All officials must have a level 2 background check completed every 2 years.  The fee for the initial background check will be reimbursed for a new official by Wisconsin Swimming, Inc.  Contact financemanager@wisconsinswimming.org or click here to request your reimbursement (must submit a valid receipt)

Background check certification will AUTOMATICALLY update in your profile within 24 hours of confirmation of a positive check.  If you do not see an update, please contact registration@wisconsinswimming.org

APT for Non-Athlete Members

Athlete Protection Training must be renewed every year by the anniversary date of when you took the initial full course.
After completing the initial module, the annual renewal courses for the next 3 years will be Refresher 1, Refresher 2, then Refresher 3 (one refresher per year).  In year 4 you will be prompted to re-take the full course again and then start the cycle all over.  You must be logged in to your account to access the correct course in sequence.

APT certification will AUTOMATICALLY update in your profile within 24-48 hours of course completion.  If you do not see an update, please contact registration@wisconsinswimming.org

All officials must complete a course on concussion protocol training.  There are 2 different options available in Wisconsin to complete this requirement.  It is your choice on which course you complete.
You will need to register on the respective website, take the online self-directed course, then download and save the course completion certificate.  The certificate MUST be emailed to amyd@wisconsinswimming.org so that your officials profile can be updated.  This certification does not automatically update thru the course website.
