WI SWIMMING & THE OFFICIALS' COMMITTEE PROUDLY PRESENTS OUR 2023 RECERTIFICATION CLNICS HOSTED BY WI OFFICIALS COMMITTE & SANDY DRAKE (HAWAII SWIMMING).

To meet recertification requirements, the 2023 WSI Officials Committee is holding a virtual recertification clinic. Each WSI Official will have to "swim" the total of a 500 to meet recertification requirements.
THE OFFICIAL'S BRIEFING (REQUIRED)
Swimming into 2023 - This Clinic Attendance is required for all participants. This course focuses on LSC Updates, Rule Changes, N2/N3 Opportunities, and OTS Updates. Course time is 75-90 minutes (Distance: 200 yards)
THE CLIPBOARD EVENTS
Pick a minimum of one course to attend. Course Time 60-75 minutes (Distance: 200 Yards)
- AO Topic: Adventures in Meet Manager
- This session will look at different situations in meet manager. This includes topics for a Prelim/Finals Meet.
- Stroke and Turn Topic: DQ Detective
- This session will review stroke clips and cover the legality of the strokes.
- CJ Topic: CJ Masterminds
- This session will discuss the importance of creating a CJ team and dividing essential tasks.
- Starter Topic: Take your maaaarrrrkkkks
- Starting is more than "Take Your Mark." This session will focus on starting protocol and identifying false starts.
- Referee Topic: I was asked to be a Meet Referee, now what?
- Moving into the role of Meet Referee includes a lot of new responsibilities. We will cover the importance of this role, building CJs into any meet and meet marshals.
- Referee Clinic - 2 hour
- Are you ready to pick up your whistle? If so, then we are offering a training opportunity to become a Referee!

Round out your recert experience with a minimum of ONE topic discussion. Feel free to attend more! (Distance: 100 Yards)
- Don't Be Nervous - Your 1st National Meet
- When attending your first national meet, there are many things to know. Come to this session to learn the ins and outs of attending a nation meet. Also, come learn about the mentoring expierence form a mentor and mentee perspective.
- Being Assigned to State Meet TLCJ/MR
- Have you ever wanted to understand what it takes to be Team Lead CJ or Meet Referee for a state meet? then, stop by this session to hear what things you can do at a local level and what we look for when assigning these positions.
- WI Swimming Panel - Meet Resources
- We have assembled a panel of WI experts in officiatine and running meets to share their resources to make your next meet easier to run.
- Open Water- Where are the lane lines?
- Open Water can be a new experience for officials. This session will cover the basics of Open Water and what you can do to get more involved.
