Head Age Group Coach

Bettendorf Pleasant Valley Aquatics swim club, a 260 member team is searching for an ASCA Certified coach who is highly motivated, goal oriented, and an enthusiastic Age Group coach to direct our age group program to the next level.  Candidate must be a strong individual with team motivation techniques, strong stroke technique, starts and turns, an organized disciplined coach with a coaching philosophy of an IM base.  This successful candidate must be able to work closely with our head coach and have the ability to create work-outs and manage multiple coaches under them.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of certified swim coach experience
  • Minimum of a Level 2 Certification
  • College degree
  • Working knowledge of MS word, Team Unify and Hytek Team Manager
  • Current on all USA swimming coaching certifications and a current member of ASCA

Aquatics Program Specialist

Lake Valley Camp is a Milwaukee non-profit organization that provides summer and school-year programs for low-income families at no-cost to participants.  I am excited to announce that we are still hiring an Aquatics Program Specialist for our upcoming Summer 2012 programs.  The Aquatics Program Specialist is responsible for teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding at the pool and lake, and assisting with the implementation of fun all-camp activities. Head Girls’ Swimming Coach

Aquatics and Competitive Swim Director
Pleasant Prairie Patriots (PX3)

This position is a professional managerial and coaching position under the direct supervision of the Director of Recreation.  The primary responsibilities of the Aquatics and Competitive Swim Director are to manage and supervise all employees and operations of the Aquatics Division including both the leisure pool and competition pool in a professional manner.  Responsibilities include program planning and administration, leadership and coaching for our competitive swim team, personnel and budget management, aquatic facility and equipment management.  Employees in this classification must represent the RecPlex in a professional manner, while instructing and monitoring personnel, members, guests, and program participants.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years of certified USA swim coach experience
  • At least three (3) years of swim meet experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in recreation, business or related field is preferred.
  • Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of 5 - 10 years of aquatics experience with significant experience coaching and managing a competitive swim team.
  • Two (2) years of competitive swim experience.
  • Additional experience with a Masters team, as a lifeguard trainer, swim instructor or coach is preferred.
  • Extensive customer service and public relation skills are required.
  • First Aid/CPR and AED certifications.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
Salary Range: $48,357 - 60,446

Part-Time Coach

The South Central Swim Team is looking for an energetic part-time coach to work primarily with novice swimmers at Parker High School in Janesville WI to start April 2012.  Duties consist of assisting in the teaching of basic stroke and racing techniques, and coaching in some meets.  Candidates should enjoy working with children of all ages, have strong verbal communication skills, and a knowledge of competitive swimming techniques.  Current possession of lifeguard, first-aid, and CPR certifications, or the ability to obtain these, is required.  USA swimming experience preferred, but not necessary.  Part-time 3-6 hours per week.  For more information or to apply contact administrator@southcentralswim.com.

Age Group Coach

River Valley Swim Club in Osceola, WI seeks motivated candidates who will provide leadership in club development including: individualized swim training for developmental and competitive age-group swimmers.  Must be able to provide feedback on stroke technique, create training programs for beginner through advanced level swimmers.  Responsible for being at all practices and meets as well as being the face of the club, parent communications, creating workouts for each practice, and monitoring assistant coaching staff to ensure RVSC Swim standards and philosophies are met.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stroke progression, mechanics, and will contribute to the development of the 5 - 18 age groups.  Additional responsibilities include but not limited to: swim team marketing and / or volunteer activities, advertising, parent communication.

Qualifications:

  • Coaching and/or Swim Team experience required/knowledge of USA Swim Standards

Interim Head Coach

Due to the upcoming deployment of the current head coach of River Falls Swim Club, there is an opening for an Interim Head Coach.  This long term, full time temporary position is open from approx 7/1/12 thru 8/13/13.  This position concludes upon the return of the current head coach and his resumption of head coach duties.  The candidate shall have coaching experience and the ability to create work-outs and seasonal training plans along with being proficient in Hy-Tek Team and Meet Manager.  The candidate will be current on all requirements: Safety Training for Swim Coaches, Athlete Protection Training, Concussion Training, ASCA Level 1 Certified, First Aid, and CPR.  Expectations of the successful candidate is to manage a 75-100 swimmer club with a 6 member coaching staff.  Must be available during the day for office duties and communication with the club members and board as well as being on the pool deck every week day night from 6 - 9 pm.  Coaching weekends is also expected.  Pay is dependent upon experience and fulfillment of job expectations.  Send resume' to Michael Brudzinski or Rich Karras at email addresses below.

Assistant Swim Team Coach

Description: Part Time / Hourly Rate based on experience. 10-15+ Hours per week.

The Assistant Swim Team Coach is supervised by the Head Swim Team Coach while working approximately 125 to 185 Waunakee Swimming Team swimmers aged 5 to 18 throughout the year.  The Assistant Coach is responsible for working with the Head Coach to ensure the development of each individual swimmer while encouraging sportsmanship, healthy competition, and attendance at meets.  The Assistant Coach is expected to support the discipline of regular swimming practices focusing on stroke technique, in water and dry land demonstration, and drills along with a heavy dose of age-appropriate motivation, encouragement, and fun.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for Assistant Swim Team Coach has a motivating presence, a thorough understanding and talent of stroke & turn mechanics /coaching, an instructional vocabulary that can span the needs of kids age 5 to 18, a love of coaching, team leadership skills, and proven organizational skills.  The Assistant Coach must be capable of supervising groups of up to 40 swimmers with an assistant and filling some Head Coach duties when required.  Previous swim team assistant coaching and stroke coaching experience is mandatory.  A minimum two year history of USA Swimming coaching experience on a competitive swim team (high school and/or college level) is required.

Additionally, the Assistant Swim Coach must hold the following certifications:

  1. American Red Cross Community CPR or Professional Rescuer, or American Heart Association CPR (level B or C).  Course must include use of AED.
  2. Standard First Aid
  3. American Red Cross Lifeguarding or Safety Training for Swim Coaches
  4. Appropriate (AAU, USA Swimming) Coaching & Safety Certifications.
  5. Any level of ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association) certification or willingness to pursue a plus.

Part-Time Coach

SENIOR ELITE COACHING POSITION AT CHIPPEWA VALLEY YMCA-CHIPPEWA FALLS WISCONSIN

The Chippewa YMCA is looking for a part-time coach for the YMCA’S Senior Elite Swim Group.  This group is comprised of high school boys and girls and swimmers ages 12 and up who are compete and practice at a high level of intensity.  The entire swim team is made up of approx. 90-100 swimmers.  Responsibilities would include writing workouts, attending all practices and meets.  Requirements include the ability to coach at a high level through workouts comprised of technique and endurance; competitive swimming and coaching background.

This position would most likely begin in the fall of 2012 but could start as early as summer 2012.  Other Aquatic positions also available at the YMCA along with the potential for a Head Coach job in the future.
